james-olivia chu hillman + Nisha Mody invite you to:

Navigating Tension and
Connecting with Intimacy:

A Workshop for Mothers & Daughters (together or alone)

Thursday, May 7

10am PT/1pm ET (4.5 hours)

$200 - limited to 8 people

We invite you to an intimate gathering of adult mothers and/or adult daughters to get honest with what connection can look like with each other, and yourself.

We will address the following questions:

  • What gets in the way of you connecting with each other?
  • What does it mean to parent each other and yourself? Do you want to keep doing that?
  • How does shame, judgment, and discernment play out in your mother/daughter relationships?

Do you try to connect with your mother or daughter and…

  • You feel like you have the same argument that you've been having 1, 5, 10, TWENTY, years ago?
  • You feel guilty (as a daughter) for being disobedient, enacting boundaries, or doing what brings you joy?
  • You try to make boundaries but it feels like they are continually violated?
  • You wonder if you'll ever be able to understand each other?

This class is…

  1. For adult mothers and adult daughters. This class is about how to have relationships with each other as adults.
  2. Open to mothers and daughters, together or alone. There is no requirement for both of you to attend.
  3. Limited to 8 people.
  4. Experiential - it will not be recorded.
  5. Not refundable - please commit with care.

We are both daughters of Asian immigrant mothers so…we get the tension and disconnection that feels like it will never resolve! And we are here to share what it can look like to connect with intimacy when all you've known is tension and difference.

By purchasing this workshop, you agree to and understand the following:

  • I will take full responsibility for my learning and growth - to go after what I want in our shared container.
  • I will take full responsibility for my boundaries and experience - to attend to, support, and care for myself when I feel activated, upset, or triggered by differences and discomfort during our time together.
  • Neither Inquisitive Human, James-Olivia, nor Nisha Mody is a resource for psychotherapy, crisis counseling, trauma support, or mental health services.
  • I am responsible for completing all payments. Payments are non-refundable.
  • I am satisfied that I have the information I need to make an informed, aligned, consensual, and committed decision to register for “Navigating Tension and Connecting with Intimacy: A Workshop for Mothers & Daughters (Together or Alone)” - if not, reach out to one of us before you commit.
